Your privacy is important to us. The BetFINDER bot (the "Bot") is operated by GDC Media Limited, outside of the United States and GDC America within the United States only, who are both subsidiaries of Gambling.com Group Limited ("Company") ("we," "us," or "our").
The Bot uses the services provided by Discord, Inc. through the Discord voice, video, and text communication platform ("Discord") but is not affiliated with or endorsed in any way by Discord, Inc. Accordingly, your use of the Bot is also subject to Discord's Privacy Policy. The Company is an independent controller of any data it processes through the Bot and is not responsible for Discord's separate collection, use, or disclosure of your data and information.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you interact with the Bot and through related websites, applications, or services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Bot, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and use of information as described below.
1. Data We Collect
We collect only minimal, temporary data strictly to operate the Bot - all data is automatically deleted within hours or days as delineated below. Processing is based on our legitimate interests to do so and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation, the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and other applicable data protection and privacy laws ("Data Protection and Privacy Laws").
All data, including personal data and personally identifiable information, collected (collectively, "Data"), is strictly limited to what is necessary for the Bot's operation, and we avoid any processing unrelated to the Bot's functionality.
The Bot processes Data, which may include the following:
a. Automatically Collected Data
When you interact with the Bot, we may temporarily collect:
- Discord user ID, username, and message ID
- Server ID and channel ID (for contextual processing)
- Images or text you send to the Bot
- Timestamps of interactions and technical logs (for error tracking and performance analysis)
b. User-Provided Data
If you submit images, screenshots, or messages to the Bot, these are processed by automated systems (e.g., OCR or AI models) to extract text and generate simulated betslips.
We do not permanently store this user-provided Data unless strictly necessary for the limited purposes described below, and only for as long as needed to fulfil those purposes (typically not exceeding 30 days):
- Debugging and improving service reliability
- Preventing abuse or spam
- Complying with legal obligations or moderation requests
c. Optional Communication Data
If you contact us directly (for example, via betfinder@gdcgroup.com), we may process and store your contact details and message content based on our legitimate interests in responding to your inquiry. We retain correspondence only for as long as necessary to resolve your request and for a short period afterward (typically not exceeding 90 days), unless a longer retention period is required by law.
2. How We Use Data
We use the Data collected through the Bot strictly for specific and legitimate purposes necessary to operate, maintain, and improve our services. These purposes include:
- Operating and improving the Bot and related services to ensure functionality, reliability, and user experience,
- Responding to user requests or technical issues to provide support and resolve problems efficiently,
- Ensuring compliance with Discord's Terms of Service and Discord's community policies and guidelines, and with Data Protection and Privacy Laws,
- Analyzing usage patterns to monitor system performance and enhance operational stability,
- Detecting and preventing spam, abuse, or malicious activity to maintain the security and integrity of the service.
3. Sharing of Data
We may share limited data only in the following cases:
- With service providers: Trusted partners who assist in processing data (e.g., cloud providers, AI API providers) under appropriate formal agreements.
- For legal reasons: If required to comply with a court order, law, or government request.
- To protect rights: When necessary to protect Company's property, users, or the public from harm or illegal activity.
Important: We will not sell, rent, or lease your Data to third parties, nor will we share your Discord data or content for advertising, marketing, or unrelated third-party purposes.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
- The Bot processes messages and images ephemerally – meaning most Data is deleted automatically within a short period (typically minutes or hours).
- Metadata and logs may be retained for up to 30 days for debugging and security.
- Users or server administrators may request Data deletion by contacting betfinder@gdcgroup.com with the relevant server or user ID.
All retained Data is pseudonymized and automatically purged on a scheduled basis to ensure compliance with the principle of storage limitation.
Once Data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
5. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your Data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. This includes encryption in transit, access controls, and restricted data storage.
However, please note that:
- Discord message data passes through third-party infrastructure (Discord's servers).
- No online service can guarantee absolute security of transmitted Data.
In the event of a data incident affecting stored Data, we will notify affected users or server owners and, if applicable, relevant supervisory authorities.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your place of residence, you may have certain rights in relation to your Data under applicable Data Protection and Privacy Laws. These rights may include, but are not limited to, the right to:
- Access the Data we process about you.
- Request correction, erasure or deletion of your Data.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where applicable.
- Lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority if you believe your rights have been infringed.

7. Third-Party Links and Services
The Bot operates within Discord and may include or interact with links to third-party websites or services.
Your interactions with Discord are governed by Discord's Privacy Policy, and the Company is not responsible for Discord's separate processing of Data. The Company is likewise not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of any external websites or services that may be linked or referenced through the Bot. We encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of any third-party services you interact with and you choose to access, as their data collection and processing are independent of ours.
8. International Data Transfers
As part of our operations, information may be processed or stored in data centers located outside your country of residence.
By using the Bot, you consent to such international transfers, provided that adequate protections are maintained as required by applicable law.
If we make such a transfer, we will require that the recipients of your Data provide data security and protection in accordance with applicable law; and we will take all the steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your Data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Data will take place to an organisation or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your Data.
9. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time.
The latest version will always be posted publicly, and the date of last update will be shown at the top of the document.
Your continued use of the Bot after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy, except where applicable law requires renewed consent for specific processing activities.
